Farewell to Her Majesty

Rest in Peace, Queen Elizabeth II.

I felt so sorry for her children and grandchildren as they bid their Mummy and Grannie, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, farewell. The past ten days of mourning and the funeral have been stressful for them, and I admire their dignity and composure as they honored her today.

The Queen loved her tea and often during a long day of public engagements she requested a tent be set up where she could discretely enjoy a cup of tea. I read that she never sat down while on these breaks, but would laugh and converse with those who accompanied her while she enjoyed her tea break.

God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us;
God save the Queen!
