As part of a high school history project I discussed the Pearl Harbor bombing with my parents and reported their memories of the day. Never, ever did I think that I would live through those exact same feelings that they shared with me, But, on the morning of September 11, 2001 I stood in a co-worker’s office and watched the horror unfold.
Disbelief, shock, and fear filled us that morning and as the day progressed. We’ve been attacked! Was America collapsing? Was it safe to go out? Is this really happening?
America rallied and we came together. Just like after Pearl Harbor and just like 75 years ago as World War II came to an end, Americans united and we moved through the aftermath as one people. We are strong. We are America and we will never forget! God forgive us and bless us!
We will never forget. Someday I hope to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial as a way to honor those lost souls. Thank you for honoring their memory with your post.

Sometimes I’m surprised by how many years it’s been since 9-11. It sure was a terrible day.
