I’m absolutely dying to go somewhere. Anywhere. I’m a vagabond at heart and staying home day after day has really squelched my wandering spirit. But I’m happy to stay home and stay safe!
Therefore, I find I have no excuse not to catch up on organizing a few thousand pictures and catching up on my blogging.
Today’s post on Doorway Into the Past features one of the 254 Texas Courthouses that I love to explore. Won’t you join me there??
It is hard to stay home, but to be safe that is the only way. I love courthouses. We have a lot of very interesting ones here in Arkansas.

Lovely post and enjoyed the trip over to Doorways, where my identity is the old Suz LCC blog. :). The tower is reminiscent of others I know in Texas, and as I commented there, Texas has a good preservation for courthouses! I have documented my share of them in the areas around north central Texas.

The Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation program can be credited with helping to save many of them as well as inspiring preservation efforts in the State.

I think it a wonderful program. They were instrumental in the Throckmorton restoration, and probably all the rest of them, too!
