Imperial Leuchtenberg Tiara – c. 1895
The diamonds in this tiara were a gift from Tsar Alexander I to Empress Josephine after her divorce from Napoleon Bonaparte. This tiara on display in the Faberge exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is one of only a few tiaras made by Faberge.
Faberge is most often associated with the intricate eggs produced for different clients.

Small Simple Things of Life 
Very interesting. Both of these items made by Faberge are very beautiful. The story behind the Tiara is very interesting. I always loved history and read many books about Napolean Bonaparte. The ending to Bonaparte’s life was so sad.

I never really “got” the egg thing, but I do still have my tiara from the year in high school when I played the queen. Maybe I will wear it to work today. 🙂
